CFexpress 4.0 Type A

fitc

Exascend Essential Pro CFexpress 4.0 Type A memory card is out now! If you're into camera gears, you'll love the upgrade that CFexpress 4.0 brings. It's faster and more efficient, making data storage better than ever before.

Why are CFexpress 4.0 cards faster?

CFexpress 4.0 memory cards are speedier because they use the latest PCIe Gen 4 interface, capable of reaching up to 2GB/s per lane. In contrast, CFexpress 2.0 runs on PCIe Gen 3, hitting speeds of 1GB/s per lane.

Both CFexpress 4.0 and CFexpress 2.0 have the same size and interface setup. For example, Type B still has two lanes, while Type A has one lane. However, CFexpress 4.0 doubles the bandwidth compared to CFexpress 2.0, leading to much faster data transfers.

Can I use the Essential Pro CFexpress 4.0 Type A card with my Sony Alpha and FX cameras?

Absolutely! CFexpress 4.0 cards, like the Essential Pro, are backward compatible. This means they work smoothly with legacy devices too. In addition, our CFexpress 4.0 Type A cards are fully VPG400-certified for your Sony Alpha & FX cameras, effortlessly handling 8K RAW footage at 120fps.

Should I upgrade to CFexpress 4.0? What are the benefits?

Upgrading to CFexpress 4.0 can be a wise move for several reasons.

  • Though not widely supported yet, the standard is expected to become the industry norm soon. This means that by upgrading now, you'll be ahead of the curve and ready to take full advantage of the improved performance when compatible cameras become available.
  • One of the key benefits of CFexpress 4.0 is its full backward compatibility. This means that you can absolutely use the card with existing cameras and equipment that support CFexpress 2.0. This ensures that you're prepared for the advancements in technology without any risk of compatibility issues.

Overall, upgrading to CFexpress 4.0 guarantees enhanced performance and reliability, making it a worthwhile investment for cinematography enthusiasts.
