The Simera-C full-frame lenses, ranging from 28mm, 35mm, 50mm to 75mm (with an additional 21mm in the future), can handle most kinds of shooting situations. Equipped with a 16-blade iris and a uniform fast aperture T1.5, these lenses effortlessly produce unparalleled spatial visual impact, enhancing the immersive quality of the imagery.
Simera-C delivers a very neutral look with a tint of softness, smooth bokeh and natural edge fall-off for exceptional dimensionality in storytelling, capturing a raw aesthetic with minimal chromatic aberration and human-eye-like field curvature. Flare is subtly controlled to maintain highlight detail without compromising the image's authenticity.
The floating element design of the Simera-C series allows for a closer minimum focusing distance than most modified cine-mod rangefinder lenses, providing almost identical quality at close focus and infinity, greater texture and detail in close-ups and enhancing creative flexibility.
While the E mount is perfect for the Sony mirrorless cameras, the M mount version of Simera-C opens the way to all mirrorless and digital cinema cameras. Here is why M mount holds the future.
Thypoch Simera offers a new way of seeing, a window into the present. Like a portal, it transports us beyond the constraints of the ordinary, revealing a world of hidden grandeur and subtle majesty.
Perfectly compatible with Leica, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and Canon mirrorless cameras, it prevents potential image quality loss associated with adapters.
1. Exquisite Ergonomics, Fluid Precision
The new Simera lenses include a crescent-shaped focus tab, crafted from anodized aluminum alloy for seamless integration and tactile comfort. Its ergonomic curve enables swift focusing with smooth acuracy, elevating the shooting experience.
2.Classic DOF Indicator
In homage to the Alpa Kern lenses, Simera incorporates a vintage-inspired depth-of-field indicator, adding a touch of nostalgia to its design. Versatile and intriguing, it caters to zone focusing with ease.
3. Versatile Control, Intuitive Adjustments--Click and declick
Simply tap the sun and moon symbols on the aperture ring to switch between click and de-click modes. It provides artistic freedom and fine control across a wide range of shooting scenarios.
4. Large f1.4 aperture
Large aperture enhances the low-light performance, making it easier to capture well-exposed images in challenging lighting conditions, such as indoors or during nighttime photography. Narrower DOF creates a blurred background and achieve a greater subject-background separation.
5. Cutting-Edge Optics for Exceptional DetaIls
Controlled CA and disstortion for Simera series. With 1pcs ED, 2pcs HRI as well as 1pcs aspherical glass in 28mm, 3pcs HRI and 1pcs aspherical glass in 35mm, image quality remain clear even in close focus at wide open with smooth transition from the certer to the edge.
The Simera series expands its lens mount options with native Z, E, X, and RF mounts that are seamlessly integrated into its classic and elegant design.
Perfectly compatible with Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and Canon mirrorless cameras, it prevents potential image quality loss associated with adapters.
Ensuring image resolution and providing users with a more steady and reliable shooting experience.
The 50mm f/1.4 lens sees and reframes everyday scenes from a natural perspective. Its meticulously crafted optics live up to every poetic moment of imagination and fleeting inspiration, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.45m complemented by floating lens elements that delicately capture nuances of light and shadow. This combination evokes emotional expression and intimate storytelling, offering a fresh artistic interpretation of everyday perspectives.
The Simera 50mm overcomes the common limitation of a 70cm MFD found in many M-mount 50mm lenses by offering an outstanding minimum focusing distance of only 45cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 6.4, allowing for full potential in close-up and intimate photography.
Its built-in floating lens elements provide remarkable resolution when focusing at 0.45 m, comparable to that of similar rangefinder lenses that focus at 0.9 m, resulting in consistently sharp images. The focusing ring is thoughtfully designed with a resistance point at 0.7 m, guiding users to switch to EVF for distances below 0.7 m.
45cm | Focusing Distance
1: 6.4 | Maximum Magnification Ratio
With its fast f/1.4 aperture, the Simera 50mm excels in low-light conditions. The high refractive index multi-layer coatings and high refractive index elements delivers an abundant light transmission of up to T1.5, resulting in bright and vibrant images.
The cine-standard 14-blade aperture creates a round and pleasing bokeh, presenting a gentle focus falloff that evokes a three-dimensional cinematic visual. The click-and-declick aperture ring allows a smooth transition between photography and video modes for limitless creative expression.
